The BewellConnect MyTens Pro is electrostimulation you can wear. The wireless unit has two electrodes with pads that stick to your skin, holding the device in place while it delivers a TENS or EMS program from the MyTens smartphone app. The app helps you choose between 19 settings and recommends electrode placements specific to your problem areas. Turn it on and the stimulation runs between the electrodes, targeting muscle or nerve tissue based on the setting you’ve chosen.
After a few months of use, I’ve appreciated the MyTens Pro for its user-friendly interface and convenience—I no longer have to quit what I’m doing to recover for 30 minutes. The effect of the EMS isn’t as noticeable as other (more expensive) electrotherapy devices I’ve used, but I liked the device a lot for pain relief and warming up my muscles before a workout. Interested buyers can choose between the one “channel” (one MyTens unit) for $150 or two channels for $250, to stimulate multiple body parts at once. If you’ve been interested in trying an electrostimulation device but don’t want to pay more than the cost of a pair of cycling shoes, the one-channel unit’s intuitive controls and convenience make it a great place to start.
